Because we want you to have a perfect day, your friends and family who can’t make it to your wedding at The Windmills can now be part of your wonderful event through The Windmills ‘WEDCAM’. Watching from the comfort of their homes, your friends and family will be able to enjoy every moment – letting them share your arrival at the Chapel on the Lake, through to your walk down the aisle as well as the moment you say ‘I DO’. The Windmills ‘WEDCAM’ provides incredible live video streaming as well as sound via the internet, right from the heart of the Chapel on the Lake.
The ‘WEDCAM’ is free for all The Windmills weddings and for those couples who don’t want their wedding broadcast, the ‘WEDCAM’ can be switched off.
The Windmills ‘WEDCAM’ is a first for a South African wedding venue and we are incredibly proud that we are bringing this innovation to our bridal couples. Let us know what you think.

The Marriage Meander Business Growth Cocktail Evening at Calderwood Hall
Lots of laughter and loads of inspiration were the order of the evening at the Marriage Meander Business Growth Cocktail Evening recently held at the spectacular Calderwood Hall. Scrumptious food supplied by CHC catering was enjoyed as guests watched a perfect sunset and chatted late into the evening.
Marriage Meander suppliers and guests were empowered as Gael Taylor from Learning Identity explained the difference between left and right brain thinkers and how we can better understand our clients’ needs. Nikki Sinclair, the owner of Marriage Meander KZN, gave some characteristics of successful companies and encouraged the audience to set goals and have a strategic plan to achieve them, as we are working in an increasingly competitive industry.
Many guests stayed overnight, enjoying the Calderwood experience and woke to a hearty country breakfast. Thanks to everyone who travelled from far to join us and a special thanks to Wade from Calderwood Hall for all he and his team did to make it such a successful event.

The KZN Marriage Meander Journeys
Our first KZN Marriage Meander Journey for 2013 was held on the 23rd March in the Midlands. We visited:
- The Windmills
- Woodridge
- Lythwood Lodge
- Yellowwood
- Old Halliwell
It was just a perfect day – the sun was out, laughs and smiles abundant and the venues and wedding suppliers went the extra mile for all the brides and grooms to be. The group of nearly 50 enthusiastic guests visited The Windmills, Woodridge, Lythwood Lodge, Yellowwood and Old Halliwell and were impressed not only by the beautiful surrounds, but by the service and delicious cuisine served.
It was a valuable day of tips and ideas for all the bridal couples and some have already found their ideal venue. A very big thank you to all who helped make it such a special day. ~ Nikki Sinclair

The Marriage Meander at the St Thomas Bridal Fair
The first St Thomas Bridal Fair was a festive event: graced with gorgeous weather, great exhibitors and enthusiastic brides. The Marriage Meander gave out their latest Marriage Meander Books and assisted many brides with enquiries about venues and service providers.

The Windmills Open Day Feb 2013
The Windmills Resort is taking KZN by storm with new developments and plenty of activity that’s keeping bridal interest at a peak in the Midlands.
Their recent Open Day, hosted at The Windmills, had over 70 service providers offering excellent advice and service. GM Andre Schoeman and his team once again went the extra mile to ensure bridal couples were treated to a special day of ‘Wedding Shopping’ and a fabulous fashion show.
Many KZN Marriage Meander Books were given out and a competition to win tickets to the next Marriage Meander Journey attracted many excited brides. Winners will be notified by e-mail this week.
The Camelot Bridal Fair
The romantic setting at Camelot was the perfect backdrop for the first Bridal Fair of the year in KZN – it was a fabulous event. Wet weather on the first day did not turn away enthusiastic bridal couples who were treated to fantastic exhibits, fashion shows and great food. The atmosphere in the “Marriage Meander” King Henry VIII room was electric and buzzed with activity all weekend. Many of KZN’s top service providers and venues were there to assist the visitors, who were clearly impressed as many bookings and enquiries were made.
Hundreds of Marriage Meander books were given out and the new KZN App was demonstrated. It was great to meet many brides who had already downloaded the free App, KZN Bride, and get such positive feedback about how useful it has been for their wedding planning.
