Farmgirl Flowers offers wedding floral design or buckets of fresh blooms for the DIY bride.

My love for beautiful blooms started from a young age with some of my fondest memories of time spent in the garden with my Gran. I would pick buckets full of daisies, zinnias and calendulas from my grandparent’s garden for my teacher. I so clearly remember the look on her face when I walked into the classroom, and how flowers seemed to lift everyone’s spirits for the rest of the week.

Many years later, in the autumn of 2017, my husband Lance and I decided we needed to tick something off our bucket lists. For him, it was cattle farming; for me, inspired by my ancestry, I had always dreamed of farming something pretty and feminine. My large farm garden already had 400 rose bushes which brought me so much joy. So, buying a “few” more was the most logical step… and that became the birth of “Farmgirl Flowers”. I now have the privilege to work with this floral magnificence every day.

Farmgirl Flowers specialises in growing luxury, scented garden roses and other seasonal luxury blooms – such as poppy, lisianthus, lilac, dahlias, anemone, ranunculus, snaps.

On our farm in Wartburg, KwaZulu-Natal, Farmgirl Flowers picks every flower with meticulous care and attention. This ensures that farm-fresh floral perfection reaches every destination.

For weddings, we offer full floral design services, where I work with the bride, or your wedding planner, to create a floral design for your wedding that perfectly suits your theme, colour scheme, style and personality.  DIY brides may be interested in our flowers by the bucketful. These flowers are the grower’s choice and includes a mix of well selected focal, filler and line flowers. And of course, we have exquisite petal confetti available to decorate the aisle, or for guests to toss!
