Hi, I’m Alice, and I believe that marriage is a truly beautiful and meaningful thing.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of this exciting (and sometimes stressful!) chapter in the lives of friends and congregants. Now, I’m thrilled to extend that support to soon-to-be-new-friends, like you. The wedding service is a cornerstone of your day—it can set the tone not just for your celebration but for the life you’ll build together. That’s why I take the time to really get to know you and create a personalised wedding ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple.

Too often, the ceremony feels like a tickbox on the wedding to-do list, but I believe it can be so much more. It’s an opportunity to give your loved ones a glimpse into your unique love story and celebrate the connection you share.

Balancing a relaxed and fun atmosphere with the deeper significance of the moment, I tailor each service to fit the personalities and preferences of the couples I work with.

I am available for Christian weddings, non-religious weddings, intimate mini-services, and simple legal signings. As a licensed marriage officer with over 15 years of experience leading wedding services, I’m here to guide you through every step of the process. From all the documentation, preparation to the big day, and crafting a ceremony which fits you.  In fact, planning your service can be a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and focus on your marriage in the midst of wedding planning chaos. And then on the day I’ll ensure the ceremony is stress-free and full of joy – you won’t have to think of a thing.

On a more personal note, I’ve been happily married to the most fantastic man for nearly a decade, and together we’re raising two wonderful little ones. I am an ordained minister with the Congregational Church (UCCSA), holding two Master’s Degrees in Theology from UKZN and Oxford University. For six years, I served as Chaplain at Inanda Seminary, a remarkable high school in the heart of Inanda Township just outside Durban. I now work with several NPOs in the Inanda area, continuing my passion for serving the community.
