Hello! I’m Brenda Pieterse, the owner of Occasional Cakes KZN SA, based in the Upper Highway KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. For over 35 years, I’ve been fueling my passion for cake artistry by crafting personalised cakes for family, friends, and a growing circle of delighted clients. With a keen eye on evolving trends and mastering new techniques, my focus is now on creating bespoke wedding cakes that are as unique as the couples they celebrate.

Since turning my passion into a commercial venture in 2014, I’ve been baking from my home kitchen.  This space is not just a kitchen; it’s a haven where creativity meets the finest ingredients.

My commitment to quality is unwavering – each cake is a labour of love, crafted from scratch using tried and tested family recipes. I steer clear of cake mixes, ensuring that every creation is not just visually stunning, but also rich in authentic, fresh flavours. If you have a favourite flavour that is not featured in my cake flavour list, I will source and test recipes until I match or even better your favourite.
