Wedgewood handmade honey nougat was started by Gilly Walters in the family kitchen in 1999. Gilly, well known for her culinary creativity, started by making small batches of honey nougat and selling them at the local farmers market. The business grew by word of mouth and soon production spilled out from the family kitchen into the double garage. Shortly Gilly’s three sons and daughters-in-law joined the business and in 2006, moved to a state of the art factory in the KZN Midlands.

Wedgewood nougat is still handmade using only the finest ingredients. No preservatives, artificial colours or flavours are used – just good honest food made the old-fashioned way. We hand crack the best fresh farm eggs, use the highest quality nuts, and select only the finest local honey directly from the beekeeper. We also make delicious Angels biscuits – a real butter shortbread biscuit with chunks of scrumptious honey nougat.
