Thorner Country Estate can be found nestled amongst giant fig trees on a tranquil farm with views of the rolling hills for miles.

When you arrive all you will hear is the whispering of the trees and the chirping of the birds with the odd moo in the distance.

Our indoor chapel, an old converted dairy barn with natural stone walls, lead glass windows & wrought iron chandeliers, can seat up to 200 guests. It is framed by our Silos which make for the most unique backdrop for your photographs. We also offer an outdoor chapel which has a beautiful white wrought iron arch and views of our dam, so you are definitely spoilt for choice.

Our classic, country-style reception venue provides you with natural wooden tables and white tiffany chairs seating up to 200 guests. With a central bar opening up onto our verandah that spans the full front of the venue, there is ample space for your guests to chat, dance & laugh the night away, creating memories to last a lifetime.

The cutest addition to our offering is our little caravan, which is included in the venue hire. You can provide your guests with Gin or Beer on tap. Not to mention our drinks trough that we fill with all sorts of beverages for your parched guests whilst you are whisked off for your photographs. Our in-house Caterer will provide the most scrumptious canapes and various dinner and dessert options that your guests will be talking about every time they reminisce about your wedding.

All in walking distance of the venue, we provide self-catering accommodation for up to 36 guests with an additional honeymoon cottage by our dam for the newlyweds on your wedding night. Make a long weekend of it and spend a few nights. No check in or out time. Try your hand at fishing or go paddling in a canoe and take in all the scenery.

Last but not least we also offer our Boma. Gather everyone on the Friday night for a braai and a bonfire and do some catching up before the wedding day. Come back on Sunday morning and enjoy a breakfast together. What more could you ask for….
