In the face of social distancing and global lockdowns, the landscape of shopping for your dream wedding dress has changed. Our hearts go out to every bride during this season, be it towards postponement, uncertainty, or planning your special day, we feel for you.
With most showrooms temporarily closed and knowing that many brides have been planning to purchase or go wedding dress shopping in the coming weeks and months, we have been inspired to seek a way of assisting our brides.
So we introduced virtual appointments and the response has been incredible.
We truly commend brides for their determination to find their dream dress during a very challenging time in history.
Your Maryke virtual appointment
Because it is very easy to set the process of your wedding dress in motion without a physical appointment, we have shifted over to virtual appointments. And although they cannot substitute for trying on dresses or feeling the fabric, they offer the perfect solution to a very real need.
During your appointment, we discuss your design, fabric options, how to take measurements, and customization options where required. We offer our appointments to both our Maryke Collection & our Bespoke (Custom) brides and is especially effective for a bride who knows exactly what she wants.
You can view our Collection styles from all angles and even up close to the camera as well.
Depending on your wedding date, you can choose from our stock fabric or we can source suitable lace and fabric after the lockdown.
As we do all our manufacturing in-house (yes, we are a proudly South African Bridal brand), the process will be set in motion by me personally until it is safe for our seamstresses to return to work.
For local brides, final fittings and tweaks can be left until a date closer to your wedding. Brides who live outside KZN or South Africa, your dress will be shipped to your doorstep at the agreed-upon date / as soon as courier services return to normal.
You may also request a fabric swatch of your favorite design. A courier fee applies if you haven’t booked your wedding dress yet. It is a complimentary service to our brides who have already purchased their dresses, however, you need to log a special request for this.
