A day of connection and inspiration at our 2025 Love on the Lawn event!
If you’ve been dreaming of planning your wedding in KZN, this year’s Love on the Lawn wedding showcase was an absolute highlight! Our fourth edition of this annual showcase at beautiful Midlands venue, Haycroft Farm, felt like magic from the moment the gates opened until the very last prize was handed out.
With just over 200 tickets sold and countless smiling couples strolling the manicured lawns with champagne in hand, it felt like we had knocked it out of the park!
With the best wedding venues and suppliers in KZN exhibiting — from photographers, florists and stylists to planners, dress designers, suit hire and beauty specialists — this was more than just an expo. It was an experience.

A WEDDING EXHIBITION LIKE NO OTHER
The Love on the Lawn showcase was a beautiful, bustling space where guests could meet and connect with over 45 of KZN’s most talented and trusted wedding suppliers. Since nearly 70% of couples attending were still searching for their dream venue, it was a huge advantage to have many of the province’s best venues represented — allowing couples to chat directly with venue teams and set up site visits on the spot.
From breathtaking floral installations and elegant draping displays, to stationery inspired by the latest trends, every corner offered fresh ideas and captivating details. Our bakers wowed guests with exquisite cakes and tasty samples, while Robertson Winery kept the bubbles flowing throughout the day. Barn Owl kept everyone caffeinated with complimentary artisanal coffee, and Hamblin’s Catering served up delicious bites to keep energy levels high.
Bridal studios inspired with their captivating displays of gowns, veils, and accessories, while hair and make-up artists worked their magic on models in full view — allowing guests to watch and be wowed as the looks came to life. Photo and film crews showcased their portfolios, and a special studio booth by Stephen Michael gave couples the chance to capture a beautiful moment of their own. Guests also had access to marriage officers, legal teams, and Sarah from Something True, who were all on hand to answer questions about the legal and ceremonial aspects of saying “I do.”
The result was a truly interactive, memorable, and beautifully styled day — with countless spaces for selfies and moments that sparked fresh ideas for every couple planning their dream wedding.
Bring on the spoils!
Brides and their guests were truly spoilt from the moment they arrived! Each VIP bride received a curated goody bag packed with discount vouchers, stationery, delicious treats, accessories, and more — giving couples the possibility of saving tens of thousands of rands on their wedding day.
With the latest edition of the Marriage Meander Magazine also tucked inside, guests had a roadmap to the best wedding suppliers and venues across KZN, making it an event every engaged couple will remember.
A FINALE TO REMEMBER: THE FASHION SHOW
If you love bridal fashion, this was an unmissable moment! Our runway came alive with a beautiful array of gowns, suits and accessories from A’mour Bridal Boutique, Bella Bride, Ché Couture, Ndlunkulu The Queen and Suit Up suit hire — from timeless classics and sleek silhouettes to dreamy, whimsical designs.
The talented team from Irene’s Models brought the runway to life with grace, flair, and a whole lot of style. Thanks to Muirhead’s Hiring and the Floral Team for creating such an elegant space, Suit Up for making sure the gents looked sharp, and all our hair and makeup studios who added that final glow: Blush Pro Make-Up, D’ios Gracia Make-Up Artistry & Aesthetics, Pro Make-Up Durban and Solé Hair & Beauty.
THE PRIZE OF A LIFETIME: OUR VENUE GIVEAWAY
A huge highlight of the day? Our spectacular ‘Win your Wedding Venue’ draw valued at R60,000! Congratulations to Mel Mound, the lucky winner of a wedding at the picturesque Haycroft Farm. We can’t wait to see your special day come to life at this breathtaking venue!
